Hey Foreign Bodies! I’m so excited to share our next giveaway pick: Psychiatrist and mental health advocate Saumya Dave’s debut novel, Well-Behaved Indian Women, a mother-daughter story about three generations of women who struggle to define themselves as they pursue their dreams. I’ll be mailing one lucky subscriber or gift recipient a new copy of the book signed by Saumya herself. Entries for this giveaway will be accepted through Friday, Oct. 16 at 8 p.m. EST.

Praise for Well-Behaved Indian Women
“This summer's fix...the family dynamics are familiar in the best way, reminding you that you’re not alone with whatever soft-shoe you’re performing beneath your own family tree.”
— The New York Times Book Review
“A compelling and complicated family story filled with secrets, assumptions, and growth through communication, Dave’s debut renders these women’s lives realistically, with stumbles and corrections as they go along. This is a good fit for readers who like layered stories of women’s lives, complex social structures, and families finding balance between tradition and progressiveness.”
— Alene Moroni, Booklist
